Home Groups

In New life Baptist Church we place a high emphasis on strengthening and developing our Christian life through meeting together in small groups. These groups meet during the week on either a Tuesday or a Thursday in peoples' homes.

The Home groups seek to extend the life of the church beyond meetings into the reality of everyday life. They also seek to provide a safe place where people can:

  • explore the Bible in a practical way
  • share their lives
  • support one another
  • pray together
  • develop their spiritual gifts
  • develop new leaders

Should you like to join a group near you or if you require further information, please contact Rob Beaumont.

The aim of the course is to produce effective leadership at every level of church life by helping leaders to grow in Christ like character, confident about God's call on their lives and by equipping them to lead. For more details please contact Rob Beaumont.

Current Home Groups

Here is a brief word from each of our current home groups:-

HG Rick, Jon and Sue Rick, Jon and Sue's group - Our HG is a dynamic and close knit group of really good friends with strong support, care and prayers for each other - if we miss HG on any week, we feel we've missed something important from that week!

HG Geoff and Naomi Geoff and Kate's group - Our home group is a very family orientated group with a large number of children. We look forward to our annual HG away weekend to the New Forest, where we enjoy spending time together and hunting for shark's teeth. We are a very practical group and love to get stuck into helping people with D.I.Y. or gardening projects.

HG Duane, Lynne and Liz Duane, Lynne and Liz's group - Here’s our home group enjoying yet another BBQ! We’re well endowed in the group with Saffers so BBQ’s or Braai’s for social gatherings are the prevailing preference, which the ladies in the group also tend to like as it means we’re off the hook cooking for the evening, and the boys can enjoy creating and poking a fire! We meet on Tuesday nights for bible study and prayer, and enjoy good open hearted fellowship and sharing, whilst getting to know God more. We have seen God do some amazing work in our Christian lives, through answers to prayers, and our walk with God has really blossomed when we’ve individually stepped out of our comfort zone in faith. We are a close knit Christian family offering love and support to each other (plus the odd BBQ!).
